The local planning panel heard five development applications at its meeting on 5 March 2026. The applications cover demolition, construction of dwellings, a restaurant and a residential flat building across the Georges River area.
Earlier applications on the agenda were DA2025/0397 at 143 Stoney Creek Road, Beverly Hills, for demolition works and construction of a restaurant, and DA2025/0467 at 66-68 Woids Avenue, Allawah, for demolition works and construction of a residential flat building with affordable housing units.
The exchange concerned a lane boundary and how the proposal compares with neighbouring properties.
A speaker said the adjoining corner dwelling has a setback of 900 millimetres. They said the proposal is consistent with that and with the side setbacks of other dwellings with secondary frontages to the lane.
The panel also discussed a planning proposal for an affordable housing contribution scheme, PP2026/0003. The meeting was told it would discuss a planning proposal for affordable housing contribution scheme.
After the public meeting on the final matter, the panel closed the public part of the meeting and moved into a closed deliberative session. The chair thanked council staff for their work and declared the meeting closed.
